An afternoon of Jazz at Parkland in the Valley, Quispamsis, New Brunswick

Quispamsis, NB – On Friday, August 31, 2012, Parkland in the Valley will be pulsing with energy as it hosts the community for an afternoon of jazz as a major sponsor of the KV Jazz and Blues Festival.
“We are thrilled to be a part of the Jazz and Blues Fest again this year,” says John Campbell, General Manager, Parkland in the Valley. “It’s an opportunity to showcase terrific musicians and welcome the community to our campus. We have a lot of fun doing this.”
Guests can take a seat outside in the signature Shannex gazebo on the Parkland in the Valley campus, located at 19 Shannex Drive in Quispamsis. Beginning at 1 p.m., Jazztet, led by singer and saxophonist Greg Marks, will take to the Gazebo stage followed by singer, Jennifer Power. The entertainment will go until 4 p.m.
Jazztet is a versatile and experienced group that features some of the finest musicians in New Brunswick. Visitors are sure to enjoy their performance of traditional and modern jazz standards. Jennifer Power is also a well-known local musician, performing regularly at festivals and events throughout the province. She will entertain with Latin and pop music.
Visitors are encouraged to come early to get a seat or bring their own lawn chair. Complimentary seafood chowder, hotdogs, popcorn and cold drinks will be available.
