Walter\u2019s wife, Jessie, was known in the community for her delicious fudge. When she became sick, Walter continued to use the recipe. Today, Walter makes it for his friends at Parkland.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

INGREDIENTS <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 2\/3 cup white sugar 
2\/3 cup undiluted carnation evaporated milk  
2 tablespoons butter  
\u00bd teaspoon salt  
2 cups mini marshmallows  
1 \u00bd cups nuts (optional)  
1 teaspoon vanilla  
1 \u00bd cups mint chocolate chips  
 
METHOD<\/strong>  
Combine sugar, milk, butter and salt in medium saucepan.  
Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.  
Boil 4-5 minutes (Walter does 4.5 minutes).  
Stirring constantly.  
Remove from heat.  
Stir in marshmallows, chocolate chips (nuts and vanilla optional).  
Stir vigorously until marshmallows melt and blend.  
Pour into foil-lined 8-inch square cake pan.  
Chill and cut into squares.
