Despite having unique talents and a vibrant personality, she found herself feeling timid and hesitant to showcase them to the world.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her journey towards self-discovery and professional growth started in her role as concierge at <a href=\"https:\/\/experienceparkland.com\/en\/locations\/parkland-at-the-gardens\/?GA_network=g&amp;GA_device=c&amp;GA_campaign=20054419915&amp;GA_adgroup=152411045670&amp;GA_target=&amp;GA_placement=&amp;GA_creative=656669513262&amp;GA_extension=&amp;GA_keyword=&amp;GA_loc_physical_ms=9000095&amp;GA_landingpage=https:\/\/experienceparkland.com\/en\/locations\/parkland-at-the-gardens\/&amp;gad=1&amp;gclid=CjwKCAjwjOunBhB4EiwA94JWsADQ6vRc_XQiJbWDxuaDYgWzEWV9SpDsqpqX1igggeTWS_N8TALDdhoC_-0QAvD_BwE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Parkland at the Gardens<\/a> (PATG).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mary Jane feels her job at PATG has made her more socially aware and a socially responsible individual.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWorking in Parkland gave me a wider perspective in life, new inspirations, and goals,&#8221; said Mary Jane. &#8220;It\u2019s been a very rewarding experience. The people skills that I am acquiring are turning out to be vital in adjusting to my new life.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mary Jane is thrilled to have been selected for the Joan Craig Bursary. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cJoan Craig Bursary is like an answered prayer. It\u2019s a big help for an international student like me. I will forever be thankful that I am one of the chosen beneficiaries. I realized that there will always be people who will touch our lives in ways that we could never imagine, like Joan Craig.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mary Jane is pursuing a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Internetworking at Dalhousie University. The bursary supports the cost of this degree.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI think the PATG community for helping me become who I am today. And to the people who have been a part of my journey, especially Jodi Bartlett and Joan Craig.
