Through a partnership with the Government of Nova Scotia and Nova Scotia Community College, Shannex has created a new pathway to becoming a Continuing Care Assistant<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) Pilot Program<\/a> is designed to help meet our communities\u2019 need for more elder care in Nova Scotia – faster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Classes began on April 1st<\/sup>, and 22 students will complete a combination of classroom and practical work for six months to become a CCA. A second class will start in October. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program provides free tuition, an allowance, and two years of guaranteed employment upon graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
