{"id":25447,"date":"2024-10-24T12:31:50","date_gmt":"2024-10-24T16:31:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shannex.com\/?p=25447"},"modified":"2024-10-24T12:33:11","modified_gmt":"2024-10-24T16:33:11","slug":"national-acadian-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shannex.com\/fr\/connections-magazine\/fall-2024\/national-acadian-day\/","title":{"rendered":"National Acadian Day"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cedarstone Enhanced Care<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>On August 15th, residents at <a href=\"https:\/\/shannex.com\/location\/cedarstone-enhanced-care\/\">Cedarstone Enhanced Care<\/a> in N.S. participated in a full day of Acadian themed events to celebrate National Acadian Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The day started out with an engaging mask-making program to honour la \u201cmi-car\u00eame\u201d &#8211; a tradition where Acadians will dress up in disguise and go from door to door asking for treats while singing and dancing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Residents participated in a photoshoot activity to show off their masks and got to try fun Acadian-themed snacks while listening to fiddle music and dancing at our afternoon party. Everyone enjoyed participating and celebrating the Acadian culture.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image
