Nan Smith, a Nominee for Volunteer of the Year through the Municipality of the County of Kings, is a devoted, compassionate, and innovative volunteer at Shannex Orchard Court in Kentville, N.S. Since retiring as an elementary school teacher, Nan has continued to dedicate herself to nurturing, supporting, and comforting others. At Orchard Court, she regularly assists with a variety of recreation programs, leads seasonal craft sessions, and provides materials for residents to create their own items. Nan\u2019s vibrant personality brings joy to everyone around her, and she also invites her Red Hat group to host special events for residents multiple times each year. Her invaluable contributions to the community have made a lasting impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
