Enjoy and share this beloved Filipino delight contributed by Mayka Villaflor to mark a special occasion!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Prep Time: 1 hour 10 minutes (includes marinating)&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Cook Time: 1 hour 15 minutes | Serves: 4&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 lbs pork belly<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 tablespoons garlic, minced or crushed<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5 pieces dried bay leaves<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4 tablespoons vinegar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1\/2 cup soy sauce<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 tablespoon peppercorn<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 cups water<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 eggs<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Salt to taste<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Combine pork belly, soy sauce, and garlic then marinade for at least 1 hour.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Heat the pot and put in the marinated pork belly then cook for a few minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pour in the remaining marinade, including garlic.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add water, whole peppercorn, and dried bay leaves then bring to a boil. Simmer for 40 minutes to 1 hour.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Put in the vinegar and simmer for 12 to 15 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add salt to taste.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Boil the eggs separately.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>8. Serve hot.
