Many Shannex, Parkland and Faubourg residents have been active participants in a variety of organizations that work to make a difference in their communities. <\/p>\n<p>Boyd Butt, resident of Embassy Hall nursing home at Parkland in the Valley, has been a member of the Masons for 50 years and just received a medal for this incredible achievement and his long-standing service to the Grand Lodge of Nova Scotia. The team that presented Boyd with the medal came to Embassy Hall to celebrate this wonderful accomplishment and meet him for the very first time.<\/p>\n<p>Boyd&#8217;s picture now hangs proudly at the Grand Lodge for all to see and to recognize the impact his lifetime of contribution has had on the lives of many. According to one Embassy Hall team member, &#8220;Boyd is a leader and a remarkable man, he has blessed our lives more than words could ever describe.
