On August 15th, residents at Cedarstone Enhanced Care in N.S. participated in a full day of Acadian themed events to celebrate National Acadian Day.

The day started out with an engaging mask-making program to honour la “mi-carême” – a tradition where Acadians will dress up in disguise and go from door to door asking for treats while singing and dancing.

Residents participated in a photoshoot activity to show off their masks and got to try fun Acadian-themed snacks while listening to fiddle music and dancing at our afternoon party. Everyone enjoyed participating and celebrating the Acadian culture.
