Ten team members have been awarded the Pathways to Success Bursary, supporting Continuing Care Assistants (CCAs) as they pursue their Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) education. By investing in their growth, we are helping build the future of care.
Congratulations, Emma Brown, Katelyn Brown, Chiemi Lumbania, Nicola Malcom, Cindy Martin, Cheryl Agravante, Dexter Beron, Gagandeep Kaur, Christine Nonan, and Andrea Richard!
In this issue, we’re featuring two recipients and their stories, with updates from all 10 team members to come as they continue their educational journeys.
Cindy Martin
Orchard Court
After more than 20 years in long term care, including 13 years with Shannex, Cindy is pursuing her LPN education to expand her clinical skills while continuing to care for the residents and families she knows so well at Orchard Court, Kentville, N.S. For Cindy, this next step is also about setting an example for her children, showing them that hard work, determination, and lifelong learning can lead to new opportunities.

Andrea Richard
Tucker Hall
Inspired by the encouragement of her family and friends, Andrea is pursuing her LPN education after 10 years as a CCA at Tucker Hall, Saint John, N.B.
She is excited to expand her clinical skills, continue growing in her career, and provide the best possible care for the residents she has come to know and love.
