Ryan Hall Residents Sow Seeds of Change with Seed Bombs
On Environment Day, the residents of Ryan Hall participated in a seed bomb planting activity to help support the environment.
The residents had a wonderful time getting their hands dirty and finding joy in working with materials that benefit the planet. Their excitement extended beyond Ryan Hall as they prepared to share their seed bombs with Orchard Court and Blomidon Court in the Annapolis Valley region, fostering a sense of community and environmental responsibility.
Seed balls offer numerous environmental benefits, making them a valuable tool for ecosystem restoration, and enhancing the overall health of the environment.
“Seed bombs are small balls of shredded paper and wildflower seeds that protect seeds from birds and wind, provide nutrients to the earth, and eventually germinate into flowers that feed our bees.” — Karen Coulstring, Recreation Coordinator at Ryan Hall
Seed ball planting events bring people together, fostering a sense of environmental responsibility and creating a shared vision for a greener future.
