Celebrating the Opening of Nursing Home Without Walls at Gordon Hall and Ocean Hall
July 2nd marked an exciting milestone for the community of Moncton as we celebrated the opening of the Nursing Home Without Walls initiative. This innovative program, spearheaded by Suzanne Dupuis-Blanchard from the Université de Moncton and supported by Social Development and Healthcare Excellence Canada, aims to enhance the lives of older adults by promoting healthy aging at home.
The Nursing Home Without Walls initiative, created in 2019, is dedicated to ensuring that seniors and their caregivers have the resources they need to age in place comfortably. By connecting seniors to essential support and services, we strive to improve the quality of life for seniors living at home. The program offers a range of services, including social health initiatives to combat loneliness and isolation, access to critical health information, and the empowerment of the community to meet the needs of an aging population.
Shannex is proud to be part of this initiative, working alongside community leaders to foster meaningful connections and support the well-being of seniors. We invite all community members to join us in this mission.
