Celebrating the retirement of Vice President of Finance, Laura Scott

On September 29^th, Shannex team members celebrated the remarkable career of Vice President of Finance, Laura Scott. Over the past two decades, Laura’s dedication and financial stewardship were the driving force behind the organization’s successes. 

“The magnitude of Laura’s contribution to Shannex over the years is immeasurable; she has helped guide us through significant change and growth,” said Jason Shannon. “She always kept the interests of team members, residents and families at the top of her mind. She truly lived our company values.”

Since joining Shannex in April 2000, Laura was instrumental in shaping Shannex’s financial foundation. 

“From 800 residents and a small team to operations in three provinces, Laura believed in the potential of Shannex and helped shape it into one of Atlantic Canada’s most reputable companies,” Jason continued. While Laura is retiring from her day-to-day role, she will continue to work with the Executive Committee of the ACL Board on financial governance.
