We’re All in This Together: A Community Comes Together Amid COVID-19

Communities supporting each other in this changing climate is a testament to the human spirit and highlights how much we all rely on each other when times get tough.

Recently, we have all heard about the global shortage of hand sanitizer, and companies across the country beginning to produce this product to help out.

Last week, one organization in our own backyard, Gagetown Distilling & Cidery, stepped up to the plate for us at Shannex and graciously offered to supply our New Brunswick locations with 40 litres of liquid hand sanitizer at no cost! All they asked for in return was that we continue to support local businesses, like theirs, in the future.

Health Canada has temporarily changed its regulations around hand sanitizer due to urgent need for the product, allowing businesses like Gagetown Distilling & Cidery to help out those around them. Following guidelines from the World Health Organization, Gagetown Distilling and Cidery is making its hand sanitizer with aloe and a base of 80% alcohol.

We are grateful to have such dedicated and compassionate partners. Thank you Gagetown Distilling & Cidery for helping us keep residents and families safe during this difficult time. We’re all in this together.
