A Summer of Shining Service  

Skylar Ozkaynak is a dedicated youth volunteer at Embassy Hall, a licensed nursing home located in Quispamsis, New Brunswick.

Skylar shines as she interacts with residents, taking them to their hair appointments, helping them with daily activities and chatting with them about their lives. Throughout her summer break from high school, Skylar has been volunteering at Embassy Hall Monday through Friday, proving to be a caring and enthusiastic member of the community.  

An active volunteer loved by many of the residents, you can find residents looking for Skylar each day before she arrives. As she steps into her senior year of high school, Skylar has her sight set on her future as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) though the New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) in Saint John.  

“I love getting to know the residents, spending quality time with them and helping them,” says Skylar. “I get to have heartfelt moments with residents which makes me happy.”
