Shannex to build a new licensed nursing home in Moncton
Shannex has been selected to build and operate a new nursing home in Moncton, New Brunswick. We are looking forward to welcoming 60 new residents who will call this new community their home. The new home is expected to open in November 2025.
Built adjacent to the recently opened nursing homes, Gordon Hall and Ocean Hall, this third nursing home will also be part of a broader campus being built behind the Northwest Plaza between Worthington Avenue and Mountain Road. Once completed, the new home will be connected to the two existing nursing homes via our Main Street.
Our indoor Main Street is a concept that promotes independence and a sense of community by allowing residents to enjoy the experience of spending time on a small-town street. It features a hair salon, café, town hall and a multi-purpose room that also serves as a spiritual room, theatre and community gathering space.
We look forward to delivering on our commitment to bring the right care and services to the seniors of the Greater Moncton region in this new community. This new home will be warm and welcoming, and we are confident that residents will live well with support from our dedicated team members.
