Shannex Partners with the YMCA Southwestern New Brunswick to Open a New Child Care Centre

Our commitment to creating intergenerational connections is growing stronger!
We are pleased to share that today is the opening of the new YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick child care location neighboring our Parkland in the Valley community in Quispamsis. The centre offers 68 spaces for infants and pre-school children and a number of our team members at Parkland in the Valley will see their children attend the child care centre. The bright welcoming space will inspire young minds as they enter the new space, ready to learn, grow and play.
This new centre represents a significant step forward in providing accessible, high-quality child care to meet the growing needs of families in the region. It offers a space that not only provides support but also fosters intergenerational connection between seniors and children, enriching the lives of both generations.
“We’ve been working with the YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick to create a child care centre at this location for some time and we are thrilled to see it come to life” said Derek Green, Vice President, New Brunswick Operations at Shannex.
Throughout the partnership, we’ll establish a variety of meaningful intergenerational activities which are fulfilling for participants and leave a lasting impression on everyone involved.
