They also introduced “No Idling” signs in the driveway, encouraging visitors to reduce emissions and support cleaner air. Rob has played a key role in advancing sustainability through his leadership of the community’s Green Team. Parkland at the Gardens are long-time supporters of the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia. With the motivation and advocacy from resident Maureen Banyard, this partnership has been strengthened over recent years. Maureen was recognized by the Halifax Regional Municipality with a Volunteer of the Year Award in 2024 for her volunteer work with the Mental Health Foundation and her advocacy to end the stigma with mental health.
Annually, Parkland at the Gardens and the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia hosts the Celebration of Wreaths raising critical funds while bringing people of all ages together to raise awareness of mental wellness, mental illness, and addictions.

Cailey is an outstanding advocate for health, wellness and safety in her community. Nominated by her peers, Cailey is a recent recipient of the Parkland at the Lakes Safety Star Award. Cailey fosters health and safety in her community by supporting education and training, contributing to the monthly safety profile scores and other initiatives such as National Occupational Health and Safety Week. She is also an active member and co-chair of the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee. She not only provides support within the Parkland community but also in the greater Dartmouth area, by participating in events such as Dartmouth General Hospital Foundation fundraisers.
