Great People Month Update

While Great People Month will move to October, we remain committed to recognizing important awareness weeks and professional celebrations in May. Some activities may look different at impacted locations. Here’s what you can expect:

Safety & Health Week / Emergency Preparedness Week

(May 4–8)

We will continue to recognize this important week in May, highlighting our shared commitment to workplace safety and preparedness. Resources and activities will still be available to support awareness and engagement.

Canadian Mental Health Week

(May 4–8)

Supporting mental health remains a priority. We will continue to acknowledge this week in May with opportunities to learn, reflect, and access helpful resources that support wellbeing.

National Nursing Week

(May 11–15)

We are proud to celebrate our nurses in May. This week will remain dedicated to recognizing their compassion, expertise, and the vital role they play every day.

Excellence Awards

(Originally May 14)

The Excellence Awards will be postponed to a later date, which will be announced soon. We look forward to celebrating outstanding achievements together when the time comes.

Great People Party / President’s Town Hall

(Originally May 1)

These celebrations will move to October. We’re excited to bring teams together later in the year for a celebration.

Gifts

Team member appreciation gifts will now be distributed in October, aligning with the new timing of Great People Month.

Contesting

Our contests and interactive activities will also shift to October.
