COVID-19 Update: November 19, 2020 – A message to our valued community

November 19, 2020

A message to our valued community,

The second wave of COVID-19 is here. Like you, I have watched cases of COVID-19 increase across the country and here in our Atlantic Bubble. I am sure this is as concerning to you and your family as it is to me.

Today, we are activating our second wave COVID-19 response in all Shannex, Parkland and Faubourg communities. It is critical that each of us carefully considers our actions and follows public health advice as we go about our day-to-day lives and while at work.

  • Keep gatherings small and with consistent groups.
  • Stay home when you are not feeling well.
  • Properly wear a mask when required.
  • Practice physical distancing and proper hand hygiene.
  • Download the COVID Alert App

In our communities we will be reviewing all directives with our teams and closely monitoring cases in the areas where we operate to ensure we are responding with additional precautions as needed.

Sometimes, we will need to make difficult decisions, but we make these calls to keep our residents, and to keep you, as safe as possible. You have all worked hard since the beginning of this pandemic and these efforts helped us limit the spread of COVID-19. Today, I am asking you to remain vigilant so we can protect residents and each other from this virus.

As the holiday season approaches, these precautions can be especially hard, but we do these things because we care about each other: our families, our residents, our communities. We must support each other and work together to stay safe.

We are in this together.
