Meet Eallaine: An Arborstone Enhanced Care Licensed Practical Nurse

Eallaine began her LPN journey at Shannex a year ago after joining the Arborstone Enhanced Care Community as an Internationally Educated Nurse from the Philippines. There, she completed the requirements to being a Registered Nurse. When she first joined the Arborstone team, she was hesitant about the change but now she says – “working here (Arborstone), it’s my passion”
She describes resident wellbeing as not just physical health, but heavily focused on mental health as well. “It’s treating them like family – never leaving anyone behind” she says that mindset makes their work harmonious and makes a huge difference.
A piece of advice Eallaine has for IENs considering a career with Shannex is to take advantage of all the programs Shannex has to offer through the Learning and Development team to help transition and gain greater confidence in your healthcare profession in Canada.
“While everyday as an LPN brings a new challenge, the Shannex Learning and Development team helps employee improvement and makes sure team members are continuously evolving.” Says Eallaine.
