Shannex to Create Four New Nursing Home Communities in New Brunswick

Shannex is looking forward to building and operating four new 60-bed nursing homes in Fredericton (2 X 60 beds), Riverview (60 beds) and Quispamsis (60 beds), N.B.
“Our family-led organization is proud to continue to help shape the evolution of nursing home care into the warm, homelike experience residents enjoy today,” said Jason Shannon, Shannex President. “These new communities will be places where residents can live with comfort, purpose and connection, supported every day by team members who are deeply committed to their wellbeing.”
The new nursing homes will ensure residents each have their very own private suite and washroom ensuring privacy and supporting infection prevention and control standards.
In addition to being part of a larger campus, the new homes will also each have an indoor Main Street which is an innovative feature now in place at a number of Shannex nursing homes in New Brunswick. Construction will begin this summer and is expected to be complete in 2028.
