Tammy Costain really loves her job. As a Personal Support Worker at Embassy Hall in Quispamsis, NB, she provides residents quality care daily, but in her own words, Tammy believes it is also her job to make every resident feel special.
“My day-to-day is a lot of fun! I greet residents in the morning singing and starting the day o on a positive note, and I bring the same positivity when saying good night. I love making them feel special,” Tammy shared.
When she’s not with her residents, Tammy is an avid cyclist. To celebrate her 50th birthday, she embarked on a 642-kilometre ride across New Brunswick to fundraise for The Moncton Hospital’s Dr. Sheldon H. Rubin Oncology Clinic and the oncology inpatient unit.
In addition to raising $1,200 (and counting) for the hospital, Costain also made lasting friendships and added to her bank of stories to tell residents.”Hearing stories and life experiences makes my job even better,” she said. “I love being able to share mine, and now I have a few more.Back
