Community Spirit Grants

Through Shannex Cares, we are proud to partner with like-minded Elder Allies in our communities to influence positive change in the lives of seniors.
Our journey of supporting seniors started 35 years ago but, in the fall of 2022, we launched Shannex Cares, our community giving program. Through Shannex Cares, we associate ourselves with like-minded elder allies in the community. This allows us to build strong connections between the people who live and work with us and the greater community, influence real change and make a difference in the lives of seniors.
On November 28, Giving Tuesday, we announced the latest recipients of our Shannex Cares Community Spirit Grants. Nine organizations in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Ontario that support projects and initiatives within our focus areas of seniors’ wellness, seniors’ active living, and seniors’ social connections were each awarded a $2,500 Community Spirit Grant to support more seniors in their community. Congratulations to everyone!
